Hope all of you are enjoying the holidays. I have to tell you that it’s the first time I’m experiencing all these holidays in Israel and it’s quite “balagan” if you try to progress with your job. Well, besides that, September is the beginning of the Jewish year and like all beginnings, new times are coming, full of new expectations, new adventures and a new partnership

Let me introduce you to ESAI, Escola Shakked Architectural Innovation. This new partnership with the talented Tom Shakked is our new big project. We’re doing a huge effort while we’re very excited in what we are building together. Tom Shakked has studied design at Central Saint Martin’s College in London after a foundation year in Art and Interior Design at the University of Florence

Following his studies in London Tom has worked for Terence Conran, http://www.conran.com/ during his continued stay. After that, he has worked in design and development of home accessories through the process of 3D printing. During that period, he has realised that his real passion was in interior spaces and structures. This has led Tom into the field of temporary architecture while designing visitor centres and worldwide commercial exhibitions. In this field he has worked as a designer, projects manager and as a design and production director as his latest position. Having done that, Tom has always 2 managed to fit into his schedule other interesting designs such as a 380sqm communal lobby and interior spaces.

?What’s on for next month

So after establishing our partnership and the publishment on Ynet of my latest project, we started to get new commitments that we will be happy to share with all of you in the following publications on our Facebook page and also in the Strips & Pearls blog. One of the new projects we have received lately is the complete renovation of a 250m2 floor in the Centre of Tel Aviv that includes the building of 3 apartments

Another project is to design a private gym and an outside pergola for a villa in Herzliya Pituach. We are also working on a design of a lobby display unit for a High-Tech company. Regarding our work abroad, we are going to finish during next month, interior design of an office for an Israeli company who has a branch in Barcelona

At the same time we are taking part in a worldwide competition for developing a Professional Training Centre for pilots and air traffic controllers with one of the biggest companies in the aviation industry

During the next few days, we will update some pictures of each of our projects so you will be able to see how we progress in all of our commitments. By the way, the Facebook Page will not be called Albert Escolà Architecture and it will become ESAI – Escola Shakked Architectural Innovation. Welcome to our new world. “A space for shared values.
